JAMMU, Aug 19: The Door Darshan (DD) casual workers who are without wages for last five months are at the verge of starvation at present.
The workers in a meeting here today have made an appeal to Union Information and Broadcasting Minister, Prakash Javedkar seeking his immediate intervention in the matter.
The workers also demanded their regularization saying for last over two decades they are working as casual workers and authorities have failed to regularize their services.
Meanwhile, Trade Union leader and BJP leader Pushkar Nath Pandita has also expressed his concern over the plight of the casual workers of Jammu DD and asked the Government to release the wages of casual workers immediately. He also sought the immediate intervention of Mr Javedkar saying that why the wages of these poor and hapless workers are not paid in time.
