Social organizations urge Govt to enforce Guest Control Act

JAMMU, Aug 21: Reiterating their demand for implementation of Guest Control Act in the State, heads of various Biradris and social organizations met again, here at Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha and discussed the measure to curb various social evils prevailing in the society.
The meeting was chaired by Kr Narayan Singh, president of the Rajput Sabha and attended by various heads and representatives of different Sabha.
The participants deliberated upon the issues like Dowry system, cocktail parties, bursting of fire cracker in marriage parties, drug abuse and wasteful expenditure on the marriages functions. The meet unanimously decided that the Government should be approached to implement the Guest Control Act forcefully for curtailing the extravagant expenditure, being incurred on marriage and other functions.
