Major fire averted at J&K Bank

JAMMU, Aug 22: A major fire was averted today at branch Chowk Chabutra of J&K Bank, here after fire fighters swiftly doused a blaze that broke out due to short circuit.
“The fire broke out in the Bank about 12 noon due to alleged short circuit,” Incharge, Police Chowki, Chowk Chabutra, Deepak Thakur said.
By 12 noon, the fire was noticed and reported to Fire Control room. Within a few minutes a fire tender reached the spot from nearby Panjtirthi Fire Station, he said, adding the fire was controlled and doused completely by the firemen within one hour.
He said that there was no loss of life and property due to fire.
