India will not tolerate Pakistani aggression at LoC: Piyush Goyal

SRINAGAR: Asserting that India will not tolerate Pakistani aggression at the Line of Control (LoC), Minister of State, (MoS) Power Piyush Goyal said that Modi-led NDA Government has made it clear that there is no point in Indo-Pak talks till the time ceasefire violations are not stopped.

Mr Goyal, who was talking on the backdrop of yet another ceasefire violation in which two civilians were killed and four injured, said the Centre is not taking Pakistani aggression at the LoC lightly.   ‘India doesn’t take Pakistani aggression lightly. We will retaliate strongly. Mr Modi has decided that there is no point in high level talks between the two countries till the time ceasefire is not adhered to by Pakistan at LoC,’ Mr Goyal said.

The current tension between the two neighbouring countries is because of the internal politics in Pakistan. Diplomatic process will continue, but not at the cost of the lives of Indian citizens, Mr Goyal said.

A man and his eight-year-old son were killed, while four, including a BSF jawan, were injured after Pakistan violated ceasefire and opened fire at India posts and adjoining areas in Abdullian area of Ranbir Singh Pura Sector, some 35 km from Jammu. (AGENCIES)
