Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati today claimed that the Hindu agenda of RSS is a direct threat to the country’s unity and integrity.
“Appointment of several RSS cadres in the constitutional posts is a big threat to the secular structure of the country,” she said while claiming that RSS and BJP was trying to inflict communal tension in the entire country. Without taking any names she said that RSS leaders claim that India is a Hindu nation which is an effort to divide the society and the country in longer run.
Addressing a press conference here, Ms Mayawati also took strong exception on the hooting of the Chief Ministers at the Prime Ministers function.
“ Such incidents are an insult of the CMs and will weaken the federal structure of the country,” she said. Ms Mayawati said that in UP BSP is still the first choice of the people for the next Government after the failures of the BJP at the Centre and the Samajwadi Party Governments in the state. “ Like Narendra Modi said that before the Lok Sabha elections that people are waiting to vote for BJP, similarly in UP people are remembering the days of the BSP when there was all round progress.If the state goes to elections now, BSP will be the only option for the masses,” she claimed while adding that now the critics of BSP are maintaining that the situation in UP can only be controlled by Mayawati.
Ms Mayawati also made critical remark on the three month old Government Narendra Modi at the Centre. “What happened about the acche din promised by Mr Modi. People are frustrated with this Government in just short period and even now the BJP leaders are searching the escape route on peoples’ queries,” she questioned.
Ms Mayawati claimed that the present BJP government has no road map for development and even after three months of their tenure, the PM is still make false promises. The BSP president also criticised the Central Government on the recent decision to break the secretary level talks with Pakistan. “ The decision of the Government was more political than a foreign policy in view of the coming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir,” she stated.” When Pakistan was violating ceasefire they why the secretary level talks were fixed on August 25 and now they cancelled it for their own political interest,” she added.
Hitting out at the BJP for taking the cause of dalits in UP, she said that,” it was just a fake love of the party in order to get their votes.”
“But each any every dalits now how the upper caste have tortured them by through untouchability and other means. Dalit cannot forget their miseries and they well know about the evil desire of the BJP,” she claimed.
Ms Mayawati warned the BJP that they only received 31 per cent vote share in the country while 69 per cent people have rejected them.” But still the RSS and the BJP claim that it was first such historic win by a party after independence when in 1977 BLD got 41.32 per cent of votes by winning 295 seats and Congress in 1984 won 404 seats,” she claimed.
Alleging jungle raj in the state and disruption of Government machinery in UP, the former UP CM said,” BJP should impress its Governor to recommend President’s rule in the state as they too are agitating frequently against the misrule of the SP Government.”
However Ms Mayawati alleged that there is a nexus between the BJP and SP in UP as the government is also dancing on the tunes of the communal forces instigating communal violence in the State. (UNI)
