CHARAR-I-SHARIEF, Aug 23: Saying that Chrar-i- Sharief town , the heavenly abode of revered sofi saint , Hazrat Sheikh Noor-ul- Din Wali (RA) is the crown of Chrar-i-Sharief Constituency, the Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Abdul Rahim Rather has vowed to develop this historical place as a centre of excellence in every field of life.
He said all the available resources are being pooled to bring faster socio-economic transformation of this prominent religious place, adding that all possibilities are being explored to bring various left out revenue villages of rural Chrar-i-Sharief town under Backward category so that benefits available under this classification also accrue in these areas which include Batapora, Zinpachal,Darkanen, Fresdab Rahkai etc.
Addressing a public gathering at Batapora near Chrar-i- Sharief town last evening , Mr Rather exuded confidence that his desire to see all the backward and kandi areas will fructify very soon owing to accelerated and un precedent developmental pace going on in nook and corner of the J&K including Chrar-i-Sharief Constituency.
He said expansion and upgradation of road connectivity in remote and inaccessible areas remains the fulcrum of state’s planning framework as it was imperative for generating socio economic activities. He said the present Government under the leadership of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah is endeavoring for inclusive development, balanced growth and uniform justice to all the sections of the society, adding that availability of all basic amenities to the people living in rural areas at par with urbanities to is our sacred mission. He assured the people that no stone will be left unturned to come upto their expectations and to redress their genuine grievances.
Mr. Rather cautioned the people against the booby trap laid by the opposition to mislead them, adding that they (opposition) are masters in exploiting the emotions of innocent people by spreading falsehood and canard to satiate their selfish motives.
Responding to the charter of demands presented by the local youth, Mr. Rather announced to immediately upgrade and renovate the existing road passing through Batapora hillock which connects a vast area including Nowgam, Batapora with the main Chrar-i-Sharief town. He also announced to construct Baldora-Kawkoot road in the vicinity of Batapora adding that construction of a new Water Filtration Plant near existing Manoo Talab Water Supply Project will be started shortly along with laying of new pipe lines to cater to increasing drinking water supply demand in various rural areas of Chrar-i- Sharief including Batapora, Rahkai, Koran, Baldora, Soiward etc. He also announced to open a separate Ration depot at Batapora, adding that additional power transformers, electric poles and transmission wire, on need basis, will be arranged on war footing basis to improve power supply in the area. He assured the people that all the genuine demands projected by them shall be fulfilled as early as possible.
