JAMMU, Aug 25: The employees of clerical cadre have geared up for August 27 protest programme at Partap Park Srinagar and issued appeal to all the employees to make this programme a grand success.
In a meeting of the Jammu Kashmir Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association held under the chairmanship of Ravi Singh Bhau here today, the speakers extended gratitude to all the clerical cadre employees of the region for making August 23-24 pen down strike programme a great success. The members also congratulated Kuldip Kumar Kotwal on being elected as president of Clerical Association Health Department Jammu.
The speakers including Ravi Singh, Sukhbir Singh, Ravinder Singh, Ravi Kumar, Bashir Malik, Yash Paul, Anil Kesar and others during meeting appealed all the clerical cadre employees to participate in great number in protest programme at Partap Park in Srinagar on August 27.
Meanwhile, another faction of Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Babu Hussain Malik has also supported proposed August 27 ‘Kashmir Chalo’ protest programme of the clerical cadre.
Majority of the speakers including Babu Hussain, K A Dewani, Javeed Ahmed, Bharat Bhushan, Sewa Ram Rathore and others criticized the Government for not addressing the pending demand of the clerical cadre with regard to removal of pay anomalies and warned to launch a united struggle. They alleged that a committee was also framed for the purpose and the Chief Minister despite assurance has put the issue into the cold storage. They also demanded enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month besides release of 10 % DA.
