JAMMU, Aug 28: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Vasu Dubey regarding violation of Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000 read with various provisions of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and seeking direction to implement guidelines issued by the Supreme Court, Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Virender Singh and Justice Tashi Rabstan took serious note of non-compliance of the orders by SP Jammu and District Magistrate Jammu.
The DB also observed that Municipal Corporation, Jammu, Regional Transport Officer, Jammu, all Sub Divisional Magistrates of Jammu district, all Tehsildars, all Executive Officers of the Municipal Committees and All Station House Officers of Jammu district have also not submitted their individual compliance report till date.
After hearing Advocate Varut Kumar Gupta for the PIL, Division Bench directed Senior AAG Gagan Basotra to get the individual report from all these quarters within three weeks time and place it on record.
“It has been brought to our notice that in his report Senior Superintendent of Police, Jammu has stated that FIR 105/2014 has been registered in Police Station, Bishnah as such Station House Officer, Bishnah should apprise the court about the investigation of the criminal case”, the DB said.
