SAMBA, Aug 28: Legal Metrology Department team conducted surprise checking at Bari Brahmana, Vijaypur and Soankha and imposed fine of Rs 11,200 on the defaulters.
The team led by Assistant Controller, Samba, Anita Sharma and assisted by Inspectors M M Qazi and Narinder Makhnotra, booked owners of three provisional stores, two hardware shops, two sweet shops, a wine shop, saw mill, restaurant and a packaging unit and compounded the defaulters on the spot. A fine of Rs 11,200 was imposed and recovered on the spot.
