Symposium on ‘The hurdles in the development of Jammu West Constituency’ held

JAMMU, Aug 30: A symposium was organized by Mirpur Mahajan Sabha on the topic “The hurdles in the development of Jammu West Constituency”.
The symposium was inaugurated by Rajinder Gupta, DIG (retd.), who was accompanied by Sanjay Gupta, President, Mirpur Mahajan Sabha, Jammu.
Sanjay Gupta, said that in a democratic set up, the onus for the overall development of the constituency depends on the elected representatives. He added that Jammu West constituency is one of the largest constituency and every time, people have shown their faith in the democratic set up by electing their representative. But then they too expect overall development of the constituency. In order to explore the challenges and hurdles in that overall development, Mirpur Mahajan Sabha has organized this function to create awareness among masses, Sanjay Gupta added.
Rajinder Gupta said that such kind of functions shall awake the conscious of civil society. He added that overall development of an area is directly connected with the common people and when they get awakened, change in inevitable. Gupta added that such kind of symposium will definitely have a last long impact among the masses.
Amar Chand Gupta, Chunni Lal, students and teachers of Shiksha Bhawan, Bakshi Nagar, Spring Blossom School, Bakshi Nagar, Trikuta Public School, Sarwal, Shangrila Public School, Sarwal, Sai Montesorrie School, Sarwal were present at the function. Later prizes were distributed among winners of the symposium.
