Two held for selling land on fake sale deed

JAMMU, Aug 30: Trikuta Nagar police arrested two persons for selling land on fake sale deed in Roop Nagar area, while two of their associates are still at large.
As per police sources, on August 26, Ex-MLC of National Conference (NC) Mohammad Yousuf Taing, son of late Abdul Razak Taing of Flat no 311, EP Wazarat Road Jammu, at present Hakim Bagh, Old Airport Road, Rawalpora Srinagar has lodged a written complaint with Police Station Trikuta Nagar that Rohit Mahajan, son of Romesh Chander Mahajan of Sector 5A Trikuta Nagar, Shiv Kumar Gupta, son of Yash Paul Gupta of sector 1A extension Trikuta Nagar, Joginder Singh, son of Ajit Singh of Chak Rakhwalan Nagrota and Shabir Ahmed Shah, son of late Mohammad Abdullah of Dalpatian Mohalla tried to sale his plot in Roop Nagar area on fake sale deed.
Accordingly a case under FIR no 160/2014 under Section 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B RPC was registered at Trikuta Nagar police station and investigation started.
On specific inputs, police team from Trikuta Nagar Police Station conducted a raid and arrested two land grabbers namely Rohit Mahajan and Shiv Kumar Gupta, while manhunt is on to nab their two associates.
Police team headed by SHO Chanchal Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq and SP South Rahul Malik.
