Teenage girl gang-raped, four held

BHADERWAH, Aug 31: Four persons were arrested for gangraping a teenage girl in Udrana area here.
As per police sources, a girl aged around 18 years hailing from district Ramban visited her relatives house in Udrana area here and went to eat ‘momos’ at nearby shop.
After eating momos laced with some sedatives, the girl felt unconscious and four persons including two employees of the shop took her to a secluded place and took turns to rape.
The girl managed to escape from the clutches of the accused and narrated the ordeal to her relatives, who lodged complaint with Police Station Bhaderwah.
On getting information, police launched manhunt and nabbed all the four accused, who have been identified as Manzoor Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Kila Mohallah, Farhan Qayoom, son of Abdul Qayoom of Passri, Naushad, son of Nadeem Din and Naseer Owais Ahmed, both resident of Bihar and employees of the shop.
The girl was restored to family members after completing medical examination at District Hospital Doda.
A case under FIR number 126/14 under Section 376 RPC has been registered against the accused at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
