SRINAGAR : Several areas, including border town of Uri in Baramulla district were cut off from the rest of the valley after NS Bridge on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road collapsed due to flash floods today. Official sources said the bridge collapsed due to flash floods triggered by incessant rain over the past four days in Kashmir valley.
Scores of vehicles including Army convoys have been stranded on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road at several places. Meanwhile, dozens of villages, particularly those near the Line of Control in north Kashmir have been cut off due to landslides triggered by heavy rains. (AGENCIES)
