BILLAWAR, Sept 6: A 12 year old girl was killed in Banod village near here with the bullet which accidentally went off from a loaded service gun with which his cousin brother was trifling.
According to police, Nitika daughter of Kuldeep Singh of Banod was playing with her 13 year old cousin brother, Manu in the compound of their house this evening when no male member was present in the house.
Manu went inside his house and brought the loaded service gun out and tried to play with its trigger. As the gun was loaded bullet went off and it hit Nitika on her forehead.
The girl was taken to Billawar Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The Billawar police has registered a case under Section 174 and no arrest has been made.
