Reen demands immediate relief for flood victims

JAMMU, Sept 7: People Democratic Party (PDP) leader and candidate from Gandhi Nagar Assembly Constituency, Amrik Singh Reen has demanded to immediate disposal of relief packages to all the flood victims under Gandhi Nagar constituency.
After conducting a thorough visit to the flood affected areas like Gujjar Basti, Chatha and Bathindi areas, Reen said that almost 35 houses in Gujjar Basti alone have been damaged partially or completely and people are homeless now.
“I have strongly demanded to serve them relief packages as early as possible and urged the State Government to circulate the relief to these victims,” said PDP leader and added that these residents are the real victims in South of Jammu.
Reen accompanied by PDP leader and educationist, Deepak Handa visited many areas and talked to the people. Reen added that residents of flood affected areas informed us that they have been suffering for last 4-5 days due to flood and now when water level goes down, the real picture of disaster is in front of them.
Amrik Singh Reen and other PDP leaders assured the flood affected people of areas of Jammu South, especially Gandhi Nagar constituency that they will talk to the concerned authorities to provide them the relief as soon as possible.
Deepak Handa, Harmeet Singh, Talib Hussain,Surjeej Kour, Varinder Singh Sonu, Tajinder Singh, Rashid Hussain, Gautam, Asrha Devi and Sanjay Kohli accompanied Reen.
