JAMMU, Sept 8: Alleging step-motherly treatment in making drinking water supply to all residents of Upper Roop Nagar area, president, Sector-4 Roop Nagar Welfare Committee, Narinder Sharma today appealed the concerned authorities to immediately make arrangements for drinking water supply in the said areas.
In a meeting of the executive members of the Committee held today members expressed concern over the non supply of the drinking water for the last about 10 days. The residents said that the PHE Department is making drinking water supply partially; adequately only to those influential people residing in other sectors, making residents of other areas to run to fetch even for a pale of drinking water from distant areas.
The committee members urged the higher ups in the PHE Department to restore drinking water supply to them forthwith and save them from acute water shortage.
