MENDHAR, Sept 9: The police has arrested two persons in connection with the thefts in six shops in Mendhar town.
The accused are identified as Mohd Zubair, son of Khadam Hussain and Sheraz Ahmed, son of Mohd Zaman, residents of Chhunga. The third accused is still absconding. They were nabbed from different locations last evening.
Police said they had broken six shops in Mendhar town on the intervening night of Sept 4 and 5 when it was raining. They had decamped with cash and other costly items from these shops. The police also recovered Rs 10,300 cash from their possession.
