JAMMU, Sept 11: To provide some sort of succor to the affected people during the recent heavy rains and flash floods, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region, has established a langar here at Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar.
The langar is running under the supervision of Secretary, IRCS, Jammu region, RC Puri for last 4-5 days and cooked food and other eatables being provided to the flash flood victims.
Besides this, IRCS today established a donation collection counter at Gole Market, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu for collecting the donation in cash in order to extend support to the flood victims.
The Society has appealed the public in general and business houses in particular to come forward at this crucial juncture to donate generously for flood victims.
