JAMMU, Sept 11: A team of BJP leaders led by State publicity secretary and Prabhari District Samba, Aseem Gupta today conducted a tour of flood affected areas of Bhour Camp, Raipur Satwari, Shanker Colony, Gangyal, Gorkha Nagar, Bharjala, where they met the affected people and listened their problems.
Gupta was accompanied by State spokesperson, Arun Gupta and conveyor, Refugee Cell, Ashoka Khajuria.
The BJP leaders said that flood water has damaged everything including clothes, food and furniture of the people of these areas. Their houses have been damaged either completely or partially while about 3 to 4 feet silt has been accumulated in the houses; they have nothing to eat or drink, they added.
They also distributed relief material to the affected people in the shape of ration and requested the administration that adequate and immediate relief should be provided to these people.
They asked the people to approach at BJP office, Kacchi Chawani or any BJP worker if the relief is not given to them in proper time and manner by the State administration.
