JAMMU, Sept 12: The Government has taken serious note of de-reliction of duty by IG Security Sunil Sharma and SRTC Managing Director JS Tandon during the floods and was in the process of taking stern action against them.
Official sources said both these officers were found leaving for Jammu when their services were most required in flood affected Kashmir.
The Government has sent the file of Sharma to Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India for taking action against him as he is the IPS officer while action against Tandon is being taken by the State itself, sources said.
They added that the action is likely to be taken soon and it would be very strict.
