Copper strengthens on increased demand

NEW DELHI, Sept 13:  Copper prices recovered by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metals market today on the back of increased demand from consuming industries.
Traders said increased demand from consuming industries and a reports of a firm global trend mainly led to the recovery in copper prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap rebounded by Rs 2 to 435 per kg.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot 114-120, Nickel plate (4×4) 1,100-1,106, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 435, Chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 111, Lead imported 109, Aluminium ingots 166, Aluminium sheet cutting 167, Aluminium wire scrap 169 and Aluminium utensils scrap 166. (PTI)
