JAMMU, Sept 13: To avoid the threat of epidemic following flash floods and heavy rains, the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Sohanjana, Dr Manohar Lal Rana, under the supervision of Director Health Jammu, Dr B S Pathania and Chief Medical Officer Jammu Dr Robinder Khajuria, is conducting medical camps at different villages in the block.
For the purpose, mobile medical teams are being sent to different villages for medical examination of the inhabitants and also providing Information Education & Communication (IEC) regarding vector born diseases and water born diseases etc. Chlorine tablets and ORS are also being distributes among the villagers by the medical teams.
On Saturday, mobile camps were held at Surechak, Gujjar Basti, Sumb Toph, Camp Makwal and adjoining villages.
On the request of BMO, a team of Doctors from New Delhi is arriving tomorrow for medical camps at more villages in the block while various NGOs, including Nirankari Mission are extending help in them.
