Officers deployed in New Delhi for assisting relief measures

JAMMU, Sept 15: The State Government has ordered temporary deployment of five officers in the office of the Principal Resident Commissioner J&K in New Delhi for assisting in the relief and rehabilitation measures in connection with the recent floods here.
These officers shall function under the direct superintendence of Principal Secretary Planning & Development Department (Camp Delhi), who shall assign the tasks to them as may be required in connection with relief and rehabilitation activities, including coordination with the Government of India departments, providing of information to various agencies, donations in CM relief Fund etc.
The Principal Resident Commissioner shall install at least five more telephone lines in the Commission for smooth discharge of the duties.
The deployed officers include, Charanjit Singh (Addl Secy Higher Education), Puneet Sharma (Addl Secy GAD), Soheel Noor Shah (Dy Secy Health & Medical Education), Raj Mohammad (Administrative Officer, Revenue) and Mohit Raina (Under Secy Home Department).
