JAMMU, Sept 15: Institution of Engineers (India), local centre Jammu today paid tributes to Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya on his 153rd Birth Anniversary which was observed all over the country as 47th Engineers’ Day.
Against the usual gaiety which marks the occasion, the day was observed with extreme solemnity and simplicity in view of the extensive loss of life and property due to recent unprecedented floods in the State.
While paying glowing tributes to Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, Engineer present on the occasion also condoled the loss of life and property due to recent natural calamity in the State and also observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect in memory of those who lost their lives.
