JAMMU, Sept 17: A medical camp was organised by Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) at Bhagatpur Sandhwan in Pouni Chak area for the flood affected victims. Besides this, Akhnoor and Ramban police distributed relief material.
The medical camp was inaugurated by DIG, Jammu Shakeel Ahmed Beig in presence of SP Rural Mohan Lal Kaith, SDPO Domana Sanjay Parihar, SHO Domana Police Station Jai Pal Sharma and Incharge Police Post Pounichak.
During the camp, the doctors from Police Hospital examined over 300 people including women and children.
Besides medical examination, free medicines were also distributed among the needy patients.
The people, who got examined during the camp were the residents of Bhagat pur, Sandhwan, Raipur Jageer, Thub, etc.
Meanwhile, Akhnoor police headed by SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh today distributed relief items among the flood affected victims of Hamirpur Kona and surrounding villages in Akhnoor tehsil. The police teams headed by the SDPO visited Hamirpur Kona and inter-acted with the flood victims.
They provided relief items to the victims and assured them more relief in near future. The flood victims hailed police for their gesture.
District Police Ramban today dispatched relief material to the flood victims in Kashmir. The relief included dry ration, water and medicines worth lakh of rupees which include antibiotic, anti allergies, insulin, fluids and pain killers. A team of police officers under the charge of Inspector Ajay
Chib, SHO PS Chanderkot were sent to Srinagar where they distribute this relief material amongst the flood victims.
Civil authorities headed by Tehsildar Nagrota Babu Ram Choudhary also provided relief to flood victims at Bamyal and surrounding villages including blankets, food packets, 37 relief cheques, clothes and tents etc. They assured more relief items to the people.
