JAMMU, Sept 19: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), president Prof Saif-ud-Din has framed a sub-committee to collect donations from MPs, MLAs/ MLCs and other cadre of the Congress Party and the general public.
The five-member committee comprises of Janak Raj Gupta (Ex-MP), Mula Ram (Ex-Minister), Vinod Sharma-PCC general secretary, Th Shivdev Singh (Ex-MLA) and Y V Sharma. Prof Soz has entrusted the responsibility of Treasurer for the committee to Y V Sharma, former president of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jammu.
While MPs and Ministers of the Congress Party are requested to immediately contribute one month’s salary to the Relief Fund of J&K PCC, the MLAs, MLCs and the cadre of all levels will follow the suit and contribute donations as much as they can.
The Treasurer has opened the account in Jammu and Kashmir Bank Residency Road, Jammu, under the Account Head: J&K PCC Relief Fund A/C No. 0076010100002989. The Relief Sub Committee has also been authorized to accept donations from the persons other than Congress party, if any. Donations will be received preferably through cheuque and cash under proper receipt, a PCC spokesman said.
