JAMMU, July 19: Panun Kashmir (PK) has strongly condemned and rejected the recent statement of PDP leader Dr. Sameer Kaul endorsing the latest position of Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani on construction of transit accommodations for KP employees in Kashmir Valley. It is ironic that Dr Kaul for petty selfish interests brushed aside the inherent extreme communal intentions of Syed Ali Shah Geelani who ridiculously termed the proposed construction of these accomodations as a sinister design of the State and the Central Government. to settle RSS and Sangh Parivar Kashmiri Pandits with Israeli intelligence agency at their back to change the demography of Kashmir besides creating atmosphere for armed civil war in the Valley
Dr. Sameer Kaul as a PDP stalwart has conveyed his Party’s obvious signal that they stand by Geelani on this issue. PK ridicules the unfounded argument of the PDP leader that these transit accommodations are not in tune with traditional harmony and pluralism of Kashmir valley. “Do lacs of displaced KPs need to remind Dr.Kaul that it is the same Geelani, who boldly termed ongoing movement in Kashmir as ‘Azadi Barai-Islam’ and pluralism as non-Islamic concept thus leaving no space for so called Kashmiriyat anymore’’ he added.
PK criticized the PDP leader’s hoodwinking statement that KPs should be settled in their own homes and hearths, which have been either razed to ground or usurped through distress sales. Where should the KPs go in such a situation? The whole scenario even today vindicates PK’s stand for creation of a separate homeland with UT status for over 7 lac KPs in the Valley.
