Saddal students shifted to nearby schools

UDHAMPUR, Sept 20:  The students of Government Middle School Saddal and Government Primary School Saddal, which have been completely damaged in the recent landslides, are being shifted to nearest existing schools, either HS Panjar or PS Kasuri for further studies.
Instructions in this regard were issued by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur, Balbir Singh, who visited the landslide hit village for taking stock of the situation.
The CEO, who was accompanied by District Education Planning Officer Bimal Roy, also issued on the spot instructions to the teachers of both the schools in Saddal to report at HS Panjar and PS Kasuri for further duties and mark the attendance of their students separately.
The ZEO Panchari was directed to provide books and uniform to the students of damaged schools and lift the jute matting from the office of CEO by deputing an official in this regard.
Meanwhile, acting on some complaints, the CEO paid a surprise visit to Government Higher Secondary School Moungri and found that the concerned Principal was absent from duty.
The CEO ordered for stoppage of salary of the erring Principal for the current month and forwarded the case to higher authorities for further action.
