KATHUA, Sept 20: Director School Education Jammu, H R Pakhroo today conducted surprise visit of a number of schools in Kathua district and issued necessary instructions for maintaining punctuality and quality education.
Besides high schools and higher secondary school, he also visited Middle and Primary Schools where he inspected the arrangements for Mid Day Meal for the students. He stressed that no comprise should be made in providing hygienic and healthy food under the Mid Day Meal Scheme.
Mr Pakhroo, who was accompanied by CEO Kathua Thoru Ram, checked the attendance register of teachers and instructed the officers accompanying him to be strict in maintaining punctuality. While interacting with the students and teachers, he stressed the need for inculcating moral values and said that objective of education is not mere securing job but become a responsible citizen of the country.
During the visit, the Director also inspected the school and SSA buildings, which have suffered damages during the recent rains and resultant flash floods. He ordered immediate repair work of the partially damaged school buildings and directed that suitable arrangements be made to ensure that studies of the students may not suffer.
The schools, inspected by the Director, included Boys Higher Secondary School Kathua, Girls Higher Secondary School Kathua, High School Khokhyal, HSS Nagri Parole, MS Muthi Jagir, MS Jakh Bhar, HSS Jakh Bhar and High School Lachipur.
