Minority Forum asks DNT to provide shelter to flood victims

JAMMU, Sept 20: The J&K Minority Forum in its meeting here today has demanded that the flood hit people of the KP community taking refuge at Durganag shrine be allowed to sit there till they are rehabilitated by the Government properly.
The meeting which was held under the chairmanship of J L Koul said that some employees of the Trust are creating problems for these victims’ which is a serious issue.
The meting alleged that these employees also refused shelter to KP youth who visited Valley early this month to appear in interviews under PM’s employment package.
The meeting alleged that no steps have been taken for renovation of this ancient shrine and in order to protect the shrine Shree Mata Durganag Sewa Dal was constituted. It was led by S K Kaul with Kuldeep Raina, S K Ganjoo, R K Thusoo and Murarji Kaul as its members. The Sewa Dal managed funds for renovation of the shrine, it added.
