THANAMANDI, Sept 21: Protesting against non drinking water supply in their areas, inhabitants of Karyote and Begonar today held a strong demonstration and blocked the Thanamandi Main Chowk for several hours.
Raising slogans against the PHE authorities, the protesting people lamented that there was no drinking water supply in their area for the last fifteen days. They alleged that despite improvement of weather and no rains for the last ten days, the concerned PHE authorities were not supplying the water for the reasons best known to them.
The dharna was lifted only after SDM Thanamandi Ashwani Kumar personally reached the spot and summoned AE PHE who assured supply of water by tomorrow.
