CBI court grants 5-day remand of RAW Inspector

JAMMU, July 20: Special Magistrate CBI Cases Jammu, Jatinder Singh Jamwal today granted five days CBI remand of RAW Inspector Dinesh Koul and private persons Sahdev Singh and Rinku Kumar, who were arrested by the CBI team on July 19, 2012.
According to the CBI case, Inspector RAW Dinesh Koul was arrested from RS Pura while taking Rs 10000 each from two youths on the pretext of providing them jobs in the agency.
Today, CBI produced RAW Inspector, Sahdev Singh and Rinku Kumar in the Court of Special Magistrate CBI with the prayer for remanding them to the custody of CBI for seven days.
After going through the contents of the application and the case dairy, Special Magistrate CBI Cases observed, “the investigation of the case is at initial stage and the custodial interrogation of the accused persons appears to be imperative”.
With these observations, the Court remanded the accused to CBI custody till July 25.
