SAMBA, Sept 29: Eight baratis got injured, when the mini-bus they were traveling in turned turtle near Chack Naka in Ramgarh area of the district here late last night.
The ill-fated vehicle (JK02AP-8855) carrying members of marriage party was returning to Dabbad area of tehsil Bishnah, when the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle turned turtle, causing injuries to eight baratis.
After getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to nearby hospital, from where they were later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where their condition was stated to be stable, when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Bachan Lal (48), son of Juma Ram, his wife Sita Devi, daughter Priyanka (18), Amandeep 19, son of Subash Chander, Bachno Devi (40), wife of Fakir Chand, Tarseem Lal (44), son of Shala Ram, Shiv Dayal (22), son of Juma Ram, all residents of RS Pura and Shamsher Singh (60), son of Punnu Ram of Pindi Bishnah.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
