LOS ANGELES, Oct 2: A second ‘Zombieland’ film looks set to happen, as Sony Pictures has hired Dave Callaham to pen the project.
According to Deadline, the ‘Godzilla’ writer will take on the script for the sequel to the 2009 movie.
Ruben Fleischer is also expected to serve as director once again.
The zombie movie’s first instalment grossed USD 100 million worldwide and starred Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Abigail Breslin and Bill Murray.
A television series based on the film was almost developed by Amazon but its pilot failed to gain enough interest. (PTI)
