MENDHAR, Oct 3: In a special drive launched in the local market on the directions of local Administration, a joint team of officials led by Tehsildar Mendhar conducted surprise checking and imposed a fine of Rs 9000 on the defaulters.
The team including BMO, SHO, TSO and Food Inspector during inspection of fruit/ vegetable vendors, sweet and meat shops besides `Dhabas’ and tea stalls, destroyed nearly 50 kg sweets and rotten vegetables besides other stuff. Nearly Rs 9000 fine was imposed and collected on the spot from nearly twenty three defaulters. They also issued warnings to some traders for displaying rate lists and keeping their eatables covered.
