Gillian Flynn to write ‘Utopia’ for David Fincher

LOS ANGELES, Oct 5:  ‘Gone Girl’ author Gillian Flynn is teaming up with David Fincher again. She will write the entire season of HBO’s upcoming thriller remake ‘Utopia’.
Fincher will direct every episode of the TV show’s first season, which goes into production in 2015.
HBO gave a straight to series order for cult UK series ‘Utopia’ which follows diehard fans of an iconic, underground graphic novel.
They are suddenly drawn into a pop-culture thriller when they learn that the author has secretly written a sequel. The new manuscript is much more than just a book, though, and soon the fans find themselves in the midst of a shocking conspiracy, reported Ace Showbiz.
“I don’t want a big writers room, I want a voice,” Flynn told Buzzfeed.
“I’d pretty much signed off on ‘Gone Girl’, and I got the message from David — it was a text — ‘Hey, got this TV thing. It’ll take up the next year of your life. Are you in?'”
“I was like, of course I’m in. You don’t even have to tell me what it is. I’m in.” (PTI)
