JAMMU, Oct 7: Vijaylaxmi Dutta, provincial president of National Conference wing on Tuesday sought further improvement and upgradation of the civic amenities in Nandni on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
During her visit to the area, Mrs Dutta said that the important point on Jammu-Katra road is thronged by thousands of people round the clock and hence there is greater need for having public conveniences in place to meet their requirements. She called upon the Rural Development Department functionaries to look into this aspect on immediate basis.
She said major points on the highway needed adequate face-lift together with facilities as the Kashmir bound tourists and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims were making use of this road 24X7.
