UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: Police today seized 672 gms Brown Sugar and arrested two persons in this connection from Kud Naka Point on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
The accused have been identified as Barkat Ali and Aftab Manzoor of Bhaderwah. They were smuggling the consignment from Doda to Jammu.
The duo was arrested when they were riding a motorcycle and intercepted by a Police Party led by Inspector Ragubir Singh, SHO Police Station Kud.
During the checking, 672 gms Brown Sugar was recovered from their possession following which the duo was arrested on the spot.
In this connection, a case FIR number 86/2014 U/S 8/22 has been registered at Police Station Kud.
