KAS officer killed in accident

kasJAMMU, Oct 7: A 2004 batch KAS officer was killed when the Scorpio car he was driving skidded off the road and rolled down into river Chenab in Bhanderkoot area of district Kishtwar.
As per police reports, a 2004 batch KAS officer posted as Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kishtwar namely Yasir Arafat Zargar (36), son of Ali Mohammad, a resident of Jai Road, Bhaderwah was on his way to Srinagar from Bhaderwah via Sinthantop, district Kishtwar, when his Scorpio car bearing registration number JK06-6421 he was driving skidded off the road and rolled down into river Chenab at Bhanderkoot area of district Kishtwar this morning.
After getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the profusely bleeding KAS officer to District Hospital Kishtwar, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
After conducting postmortem, the body was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
A case in this regard has been registered at Kishtwar Police Station and investigation started.
