JAMMU, Oct 8: Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Jammu today organised an interactive meeting with the heads of various Insurance Companies and urged upon them to settle the cases of the traders who suffered damages in recent floods at the earliest.
The interaction was also attended by the president Federation of Industries, Annil Suri, president of Industries Association Gangyal Balbir Gupta and other prominent members of CCI Jammu. Heads/ representatives of several insurance companies including Bajaj Alliance, Reliance General Insurance, HDFC, United India Insurance, New India Insurance and National Insurance Company were present.
The CCI and FoI members urged upon the representatives of various insurances companies to settle the claims of the members of the CCI in lieu of the losses they suffered in the recent floods without any delay and with the minimum requirements. The president CCI Rakesh Gupta expressed full faith in the insurance companies but at the same time he warned the companies that if any of the genuine claim of the members of CCI is not processed within time or settled, then CCI will take serious note of it. He also said that the damages to the stock in transit and any such stocks lying in transport companies which was damaged should be compensated as per norms immediately.
The representatives of all the insurance companies present in the meeting assured the Chamber that despite being faced with the shortage of surveyors, the claims shall be processed and settled in very short time.
