BSF sends 40 students for Bharat Darshan

JAMMU, Oct 8: Border Security Force (BSF) today flagged off a group of 40 students for ‘Bharat Darshan’ from the Frontier Headquarters here.
Jagat Singh, IG/ PSO, HQ SDG, Western Command, Chandigarh was the chief guest on the occasion who flagged off ‘Bharat Darshan’ Tour consisting students of remote areas of Jammu region.
Jammu Frontier BSF is organising the simultaneous tour for boys and girls belonging to remote border area of Jammu region, an official spokesman here said.
He said the 10-day tour organised by BSF Jammu will provide an opportunity to young 20 boys and 20 girls of the age 12 to 16 years to see rich heritage of the country.
They will go to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ahmedabad and Bhuj beside many other places. During their stay in capital the children will meet Union Home Minister and DG BSF and will also interact with various dignitaries and ride in Metro train.
Rakesh Sharma, IG BSF Jammu Frontier said that in the past also, BSF Jammu Frontier has organized such Bharat Darshan Tours for students of remote areas of Jammu region.
“So far BSF has sent 13 tours to Northern, Central and Southern State and Reunion of Bharat Darshan Tours were also organized by this Frontier”, he added.
