UDHAMPUR, Oct 8: Eighth meeting of All J&K State Pensioners Association was held at Udhampur under the chairmanship of Mukund Lal Sharma for highlighting the long pending demands.
The meet discussed the demands like release of pending arrears of Sixth Pay Commission, DA installment, enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000, one rank one pension scheme on Central Government pattern, setting up of 25 percent reservation quota for pensioners, etc.
The Association also demanded issuance of dry and liquid card for State pensioners. Those present in the meeting, included Bodh Raj Sharma, P S Sharma, Lehar Singh Jasrotia, C R Sharma, V P Gupta, J L Khajuria, S D Sharma and others.
