JAMMU, Oct 9: Police arrested four gamblers along with Rs 2,800 stake money and playing cards from Jagti area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nagrota Police Station.
A police spokesman said that, police team from Nagrota Police Station conducted a raid in Jagti area and apprehended four gamblers along Rs 2,800 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Kalyan Singh, son of Karan Singh, Rahuldeep Singh, son of Suram Singh and Bhopinder, son of Charjeevan Singh, all residents of Jagti and Surinder Sharma, son of Thakur Das of Ban Panjgrian, Nagrota.
A case under Gambling Act was registered at Nagrota Police Station and the accused were produced in the court of law.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Police Station Parvez Sajjad made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Khalik Choudhary.
