JAMMU, Oct 10: Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar Bakerwal Desh Youth Body (GBDYB) today urged the State Government to compensate the Gujjar and Bakerwal community, which also got affected due to flash floods.
Addressing a press conference, Nazakat Khatana, State president, GBDYB said that the Gujjar and Bakerwal community people residing in both Jammu and Kashmir divisions have suffered heavy losses due to recent flash flood.
He said that the no compensation has been paid to the community people, which reflects the discrimination towards the community by the Government.
Khatana urged the State and Central Government to look into the matter and compensate the community people accordingly.
Among others present were Sajad Khatana, Mushtaq Ahmed Junaid, Anayat Abdual Lateef and Mushtaq Inqlabi.
