JAMMU, Oct 11: To review the physical and financial achievements of the Health Department of Jammu division, review meeting of Chief Medical Officers of Jammu division was held in the conference hall of the Directorate of Health Services Jammu here today.
The meeting was chaired by Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Baljeet Pathania and Dy Director Headquarter, Dr Gurjeet Singh and Dy Director Schemes, Dr V P Sharma were also present.
During the meeting, discussion was held on various issues which included district and block wise achievements of work done and Centrally sponsored schemes like RNTCP, NLEP, NVBDCP, NPCB, NMHP, IDSP, NCD besides other State level schemes. Reviewing district wise performance of health institutions, Dr Pathania asked the Chief Medical Officers to work with more zeal to improve the health services in their respective districts.
He took stock of the fully and partially damaged health structures due to recent floods in the State and the estimation of the funds required for reconstructing them. He appreciated the measures taken by the Chief Medical Officers to provide medical facilities to the people of the flood affected areas which include medical camps as well as the chlorination of water and generating awareness about hygiene and the precautions to be taken to prevent diseases.
