DC takes serious note of unauthorized absence

JAMMU, Oct 12: Taking serious note of unauthorized absence of the employees in various far-off areas of the district, Deputy Commissioner Leh, Simrandeep Singh has fixed certain guidelines for the employees and made it clear that continuous absence would compel him to take stern action against the erring officials.
According to the official reports, Chief Executive Councilor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council and various Councilors in the recent past brought to the notice of Deputy Commissioner that officials and officers posted in various far off places like Nyoma and Durbuk have been remaining absent for long period of time.
Observing that situation has become alarming in the socially sensitive departments like Education and Health and keeping in view the fact that 30 employees of different departments were found absent from Nyoma Sub-Division on one single day, the Deputy Commissioner has fixed certain guidelines for the employees posted in Khaltse, Saspol, Kharu, Durbuk, Nyoma and Nobra with the direction that they shall not leave the station even on casual leave without seeking prior station leaving permission from the Sub-Divisional Magistrates concerned or the Tehsildars.
The Deputy Commissioner has further directed that until the SDM/Tehsildar gives permission the employees shall not leave the station. The Tehsildars of Khaltse, Saspol, Kharu, Durbuk, Diskit, Sumoor and Nyoma have been directed to send the complete attendance report of the employees of all the departments at their respective headquarter on any three working days in a week for his information.
He has made it clear that non-compliance would compel him to take stern action against defaulting SDM/Tehsildar as well.
