RAJOURI, Oct 12: Chief Education Officer Rajouri, placed a Library Assistant under suspension and panelised fifteen (15) other teachers for being unauthorisedly absent from duty in Rajouri district on Saturday.
On the basis of complaints regarding increasing absenteeism among teachers in the school, the CEO Rajouri Ch Lal Hussain accompanied by Principals Bhishamber Dass, Suraj Parkash, Ashok Kumar, Tanveer Mir and Pardeep Kumar I/C ZEO visited different schools of the district on Saturday and found 15 teachers absent from duty. They inspected many schools in Zones Darhal, Manjakote, Thannamandi and Kotranka and found that many teachers were unauthorisedly absent from duty.
Library Assistant Mohd Iqbal of Govt High School Gambhir Brahmana, was found absent for the last many days and was placed under suspension. The one day salary of 15 other teachers was deducted and their explanation was sought for being absent. The concerned ZEOs were asked to take further action against them. The teachers panelized by the CEO are- Santosh Sharma from GMS Mandar Galla, Kanchan Devi and Maroofa Kouser from GPS Badana, Zeeshan Alam from MS Chhatiyari, Shahida Kouser PET from MS Bari Darhal, Zafar Iqbal and Nahida Kouser from PS Khaja Kote in Thanamandi, Parveen Akhtar and Mariyam Begum from GPS Saaj, Salma Khatoon and Zeenat Kouser from PS Dodasan Balla, Ritu Dutta and Sangeeta Sharma from GPS Gambhir Brahamana, Zaffar Javed from High school Ujjhan and Noor Jehan from MS Manjakote.
The CEO directed all the teaching and non-teaching staff members to get their leave properly sanctioned and then proceed on leave as per Service Conduct Procedures as laid down in the J&K CSR, otherwise, the concerned staff members and even their heads will be taken to task.
