JAMMU, Oct 12: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today took out the traditional ‘Path-Sanchalan’ (full dress route march) at R S Pura. The prominent RSS leaders and main office bearers also attended the Path Sanchalan.
The “Path Sanchalan” was taken out from the Arya Samaj Temple by R.S.S activists and covering the whole town through the main market passed through main Bazar R.S.Pura, Daljeet Chowk Bus Stand, and culminated near Geeta Bhavan. Swayamsevaks (R.S.S volunteers) in black side caps, white shirts and khaki shorts marched through the R.S Pura market. The ‘Sanchalan’ was welcomed by the residents of R.S Pura with “Pushp Varsha” (showering of flowers) in their honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Zila Karyavaha Devinder Khajuria said that the founder chief of R.S.S Dr. Hedgevar had laid the foundation of Sangh on the Dussehra at Nagpur in 1925 to unite Hindus all over globe. He said R.S.S since then has performed a vital role in strengthening unity and integrity of the nation, promoting brotherhood and also fighting casteism. Stressing on strengthening Shakhas (RSS drill) he said the Swayamsevaks have more responsibility on their shoulders at present as country is facing more challenges today than it was facing during pre -independence or post independence days.
