JAMMU, Oct 12: To promote talent and to provide stage to the young artists of Jammu, Pammy Art Academy in collaboration with Nirvana Academy and Amar Singh Club organized a multi talent show “Jalwa 2014” here at auditorium of Amar Singh Club.
Bharat Choudhary, senior PDP leader (Jammu East) was the chief guest on the occasion while Siddharth Sharma, secretary, Amar Singh Club, Umesh Sharma from KC Biscuits and Vikrant Dogra, vice-chairman, FIBDO, were the guests of honour.
The event was supported by Surya milk, KC Biscuits, VD Tech, Prayas and Federation of Indian Blood Donor Organization.
In total 50 participants from different parts of Jammu took part in the program and participated in different events like Dance, Singing and Fancy Dress Competition. Shashi Gupta, a renowned dance choreographer of the State and Manu Sharma, a personality developer and educationist, adjudged the talent program.
The program commenced with the welcome speech of Paramjeet Kour, Director, Pammy Art Academy followed by fancy dress and solo singing competition. Solo, duet and group dances were also presented on the occasion.
The participants from Auspicious Dance Academy, Pulse Dance Institute, Riddhima Dance Academy, Envious Dance Academy and SIDM (Smiley) took part in the competition.
While speaking on the occasion, Bharat Choudhary said that Music and Dance is a vital form of communication. It’s a source of entertainment as well as platform to put across past, present and future generation artists and dance lover at one plat- form.
In Fancy Dress competition, Khanak Arora, Mahi and Maureen Kour bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, respectively, while Ankita Sharma (Manali, Himachal Pradesh) was awarded with a special prize.
In Singing, Satveer Kour won 1st prize whereas in Solo Dance (upto 5 years), Vridhi claimed 1st prize, Aditya won 2nd prize and Krish bagged 3rd prize.
In Solo Singing (6-9 years), Richi Mahajan, Avyay Sagar and Manya Sharma won 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, respectively. In 10-13 years, Rakhi bagged 1st prize, Pratibha and Aqsa Malik shared 2nd prize while Vishal Samal and Atharv Vaid shared 3rd prize. In 14-18 years, Rekha Thakur bagged 1st prize whereas Piyush claimed 2nd prize. In 19 years and above, Akshay claimed 1st prize and Manzoor Ahmad won 2nd prize.
In Duet dance (10-13 years), Tarun and Jatin bagged 1st prize. In 19 years and above, Tanuja and Rajesh claimed 1st prize. In Group dance (upto 5 years), Auspicious Group won 1st prize while Pulse Group bagged 1st prize in 6-9 years. In 10-13 years, Little Champ Katra and Auspicious Crew claimed 1st and 2nd prizes, respectively whereas in 19 years and above, Ridhima Dance Group won 1st prize and White Angel Group bagged 2nd prize.
