Samba police solves blind murder case of 2 women, arrests culprits

SAMBA, Oct 13: Samba police has solved a blind murder case of Sunita Devi wife of  Shiv Dayal and Shanti Devi W/ o late Gian Chand both residents of Sapwal with the arrest of two teen agers.
The two ladies were killed on October 1 in their native village.  According to SSP Samba Anil Magotra it achieved a major success and solved the blind murder case of two ladies by arresting two teen agers Sahil Digra @ Shallu, 18,  S/o Paramjeet Digra of Mahalshan Ramgarh and Pankaj Sharma,  20, S/o Rajinder Parshad of  Mahalshan Ramgarh.
He said a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted by him to investigate the case. The team was headed by Suram Singh, Addl. SP Samba and other officers including  V. P. Singh Dy. SP HQ Samba, Inspector Ravinder Parihar SHO P/S Samba, SI Nishant Gupta Incharge PP Mansar, SI Vikas Hans Incharge PP Supwal and L/PSI Meenu Sharma as its members. The  team worked out the blind murders  of two ladies among whom Shanti Devi succumbed to her injuries today
He said during the intervening night of October 1 & 2, Sahil Digra who being the nephew of Shiv Dayal was well aware of the fact that there is no male member in the family of his maternal uncle, Shiv Dayal who is a BSF employee and posted in West Bengal. He along with Pankaj Sharma visited Dayal’s house with an intention to commit robbery at his residence, attacked his Sunita Devi, wife of Shiv Dayal, Shanti Devi,  mother of Shiv Dayal, Atul Thapa , son of Shiv Dayal and fled from the spot. In this murderous attack, said Sunita Devi died on spot whereas Shanti Devi and Atul Thappa who were seriously injured were shifted to hospital immediately by the Police, he added.
The SSP said accordingly, Case FIR No. 179/2014 u/s 302/307 RPC, 4/25 Arms Act was registered with Police Station Samba and investigation started. During investigation, it came to light that the younger son of said Shiv Dayal was also present at the time of attack on his family but on seeing the accused in action, he ran away from the spot towards the residence of his uncle which is about 100 meters away from his house and narrated the whole incident.
SSP said during interrogation, both the accused broke down and narrated that they had hatched a conspiracy to loot jewellery and cash from the house of his maternal uncle namely Shiv Dayal keeping in view the presence of only ladies and children in the house and then enjoy from the looted money. He said they later fled from the State and after returning during the intervening night of October 11 and 12, they made a hideout in an isolated bunker near Mahalshan Ramgarh.
He said early this morning, they came out from the said hideout for the search of eatables by putting masks on their faces which the locals have noted as suspicious movement and reported the same to Ramgarh Police. On this, Ramgarh Police developed the information and informed Inspector Ravinder Parihar, SHO P/S Samba who cordoned the entire area and nabbed both the accused after a hot chase, he added.
